Addi's First Cold
On Monday we had our family pics with Kristin Rogers and unfortunatley Addi had a runny nose the whole time. Poor baby would sneeze and snot would go everywhere! Her eyes were starting to get red and she would not smile. That night, Adam and I woke up four times with her. Tuesday morning I ended up calling in sick to work. Now, her eyes were swollen, there was dried up snot all over her face, and she had this helpless cry that just broke my heart. Yes, to an outsider or someone who is not a mom may say, "It's just a runny nose!" But to me it was more. I knew I needed to be there to comfort her and I couldn't work knowing she wasn't feeling well.
She would sleep, then cry a bit, and fall right back asleep on me. She had a rough day, but doing much better now. I hope she sleeps well tonight.
